THE Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) has a treat in store for music lovers, as it celebrates the music of legendary Taiwanese singer, Teresa Teng. The concert, aptly titled the Teresa Teng 70th Anniversary Tribute Concert, is set to take place on Saturday April 15, at the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas.

The tribute concert will pay homage to the renowned singer through her classic hits. Teng recorded 1,700 songs and sold over 48 million albums. In 1986, she was named ‘one of the greatest female singers in the world’ by Time Magazine.

This exclusive one-night-only concert will be led by Francis Kan and feature vocalist Chen Jia. Jia has spent a lifetime perfecting her vocal training and is known internationally for her renditions of Teng’s music. For her excellent interpretation, she was appointed as the official artist by the Teresa Teng Culture and Education Foundation.
