IN the true spirit of racial unity, Mydin Mohamed Holdings Berhad's managing director Datuk Ameer Ali Mydin decided to give shoppers a little surprise.

In a video posted on TikTok by Mydin Malaysia, Ameer in full lion dance gear is seen waiting patiently at the checkout counter.

Once the customer completed the payment, he would lift the lion's head and wish shoppers Gong Xi Fa Cai, giving them a surprise.

Some shoppers were even heard asking the cashier why the lion was waiting nearby.

The cashiers played along with their boss and said they did not know.

Lucky shoppers were then treated to a full performance by a complete lion dance troupe. - The Vibes, February 6, 2024
