POLICE are seeking a group of cyclists who were allegedly obstructing a bus along a busy stretch of road in Kuala Selangor, after a video of the incident went viral on social media.
Kuala Selangor district police chief, Superintendent Azaharudin Tajudin, said the video was detected on Facebook at around 5pm yesterday and appeared to show a confrontation between a bus driver and a group of cyclists.
“Preliminary investigations found the incident took place at 9.35am the previous day at Kilometre 23 of the Kuala Selangor–Kuala Lumpur road, heading towards Sungai Buloh,” he said, as reported by Berita Harian.
The group is believed to have been riding in a large cluster along the left lane, impeding the bus’s progress.
Azaharudin added that the case is being investigated under Regulation 42(3) of the Road Traffic Rules 1959, which pertains to cyclists riding in a manner that may cause obstruction.
Efforts are currently underway to identify and locate the individuals involved. - July 8, 2025
