A MAN and a woman were found dead with stab wounds to their bodies, believed to have been killed in Taman Nona, Guar Chempedak, Kedah, last night.

Yan District Police Chief, Superintendent Mohd Hamizi Abdullah, said they received information regarding the incident at 9.40pm.

He said police was informed of a stabbing incident involving a 30-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman.

“The woman was found in a Proton Wira car in front of a house while the man was found on the road in the housing estate with several stab wounds to his body.

“We believe the stab wounds were believed to have been caused by a sharp object.

"However, this case is still under police investigation and police are probing how both the victims were killed and found in separate locations," he said.

Mohd Hamizi said that so far, police is still conducting investigations into the relationship between the woman and the man involved.

He said that the man is believed to be from Yan while the woman is from Sungai Petani.

"We are still investigating where they were going at the time and the cause of the incident and the investigation is being carried out according to Section 302 of the Penal Code.

"So far, no arrests have been made," he said.

The bodies of the two victims were then sent to the Forensic Department of the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital (HSB) in Alor Setar for further action. - September 12, 2025
