HIS Royal Highness Sultan of Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah came to the aid of a seriously injured husband and wife following a road accident on the Pan Borneo Highway near Kampung Stungkor along the Bau-Lundu road in Sarawak.

The incident occurred at about 3.30pm on Friday while the Sultan was personally driving from Lundu to Kuching after officiating the opening of Masjid Al-Sultan Abdullah in Telok Melano.

According to a Facebook post by the Pahang Sultanate, the Sultan encountered the accident scene and discovered that a husband and wife travelling on a motorcycle had been involved in a collision with a car driven by a local woman.

His Royal Highness immediately ordered an ambulance accompanying his convoy to attend to the couple, who were seriously injured, and transport them to Lundu Hospital for further treatment.

The Sultan also stepped out of his vehicle to personally check on the victims, enquire about their condition and help calm them before continuing his journey to Kuching. - August 22, 2026
