GEORGE TOWN – DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng is being investigated by the police over a statement issued by the Pakatan Harapan presidential council on the state of emergency.

Lim’s lawyer, R.S.N. Rayer, said in a statement that the Bagan MP was contacted by an investigating officer from Bukit Aman’s Crime Investigation Department, Mohd Khairul Ridzuan Khairuddin, today.

“It was regarding a statement on the emergency issued by the PH presidential council on January 12.

“Lim will be giving his full cooperation to the police in the conduct of their investigation,” he said in a statement today.

When contacted, Rayer said Lim should have been scheduled to give a statement in Bukit Aman tomorrow, but it was postponed at the last minute.

“So far we still do not know the new date, but we will still cooperate at any time,” he said.

Lim appeared at the northeast district police headquarters here last January to testify with regards to two statements he made in 2019. – The Vibes, February 23, 2021
