KUALA LUMPUR – Hostel Centennial in Kg Acheh, Sitiawan, Perak, will be placed under the enhanced movement control order from tomorrow until March 10.
This comes after 125 people there tested positive for Covid-19 out of the 349 screened by the Health Ministry as of Sunday.
The ministry has confirmed a surge in the locality, with a high infectivity rate.
Meanwhile, 253 people were caught flouting movement curbs, with 231 of them fined and 22 detained.
Among the offences are failure to provide tools to record customers’ details, not wearing a mask, gambling, undertaking inter-district or interstate travel without approval, premises operating beyond the permitted hours, and not being in possession of identification documents. – The Vibes, February 24, 2021
