KUALA LUMPUR – PAS has attributed the political polemics between the three Malay parties in the Perikatan Nasional alliance to seat negotiations ahead of the 15th general election.
PAS deputy president Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man told Sinar Harian that the Islamist party is confident that it, along with Umno and Bersatu, will be able to avoid three-cornered fights.
He said PAS’ biggest hope is for all PN parties to face straight fights, and that his party is willing to negotiate prudently.
“Polemics among the parties (in the governing coalition) are still happening because PN is a joint government. God willing, we will manage.
“PAS hopes for straight fights in the next general election, and to avoid three-cornered fights among PN’s Malay parties. We will negotiate prudently.
“It’s just issues about seat negotiations. If we address them properly, God willing, we will overcome this.” – The Vibes, February 26, 2021
