BATU KAWAN – A staffer at Jambatan Kedua Sdn Bhd (JKSB), the concessionaire of Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Bridge, has tested positive for Covid-19.
In a statement, JKSB said the employee, who works at the operations office here, was confirmed positive yesterday, and is now being treated at a government hospital.
The office is closed today and tomorrow for disinfection and deep sanitisation.
“We can confirm that the employee is not in a customer-facing role, and was last in the office on February 24,” said the statement.
“JKSB immediately informed and advised the employee’s direct family members and persons we believe they came in close contact with in the past 14 days to undergo Covid-19 tests.”
It said the patient’s close contacts have been advised to observe home quarantine pending their test results.
“We will continue to undertake other necessary measures as long as they are required, as the safety of our employees and members of the public is of paramount importance to us.
“Our services are not affected, and we continue to operate as usual.” – The Vibes, February 26, 2021
