KUALA LUMPUR – Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah has pledged that he will get the Covid-19 jab only after all the frontliners have received theirs.

In a statement today, the ruler said priority must be given to doctors, nurses, hospital staffers, security personnel, teachers and high-risk group members.

Until all frontliners have received their shots, Sultan Sharafuddin said he will continue to comply with standard operating procedures, as well as stay indoors and not go out unnecessarily.

The ruler also reminded the people not to be duped by anti-vaxxers, saying that the inoculation drive is in line with religious requirements to ensure the health and safety of the people.

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muyiddin Yassin became the first recipient in the country to receive the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine on Wednesday at a government health clinic in Putrajaya. – The Vibes, February 26, 2021
