KOTA KINABALU – Sabah Speaker Datuk Kadzim M. Yahya will tomorrow clear the air on the alleged resignation of Hassan A. Gani Pg Amir as Sebatik assemblyman.

“I will hold a press conference tomorrow to give an official explanation on this matter,” he told Bernama today.

He said the presser is scheduled for 11.30am at the state assembly building.

Parti Warisan Sabah secretary-general Datuk Loretto Padua handed over a resignation letter dated February 26 said to be “pre-signed” by Hassan to Kadzim’s office at 12.15pm today, urging the speaker to declaring the Sebatik seat vacant.

Attached with the resignation letter is one from legal firm Adnan Puteh & Saleh that said it was appointed by Hassan to submit his quit notice.

Hassan announced his departure from Warisan last week, saying the party is prioritising politics over the public’s well-being.

He expressed support for state ruling coalition Gabungan Rakyat Sabah, as well as the leadership of Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Chief Minister Datuk Hajiji Md Noor. – Bernama, March 2, 2021
