KUALA LUMPUR – Five areas in Petaling, 14 in Klang and 11 in Shah Alam will be hit with water supply disruption from 9am on March 30 to 9am on April 1.
Meanwhile, two areas in Gombak and 46 in Kuala Lumpur will face a 68-hour water supply disruption from April 6 to 9.
Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd in a statement today said it will be doing maintenance works to remove and install new pipes at Persiaran Selangor in Section 15, Shah Alam.
The works will be carried out from 9am to 9pm on March 30, with full resumption of water supply expected on April 1.
The second disruption, involving Gombak and Kuala Lumpur, is due to valve replacement works on the raw water pipeline from the Klang Gates dam, causing a temporary shutdown of the Bukit Nanas and Wangsa Maju water treatment plants.
The works will be carried out from 9am to 9pm on April 6, with full resumption of water supply expected on April 9 at 5pm.
Air Selangor is also planning to carry out maintenance works on major assets, namely at the Cheras Batu 11 water treatment plant on June 15, Sg Langat plant on July 6 and Sg Selangor Phase 1 plant on October 5.
However, these scheduled works are subject to approval from the National Water Services Commission. Air Selangor will announce the list of areas involved and water supply restoration schedule in more detail after approval is obtained.
