JOHOR BARU – Police have denied a recent news report on the arrest of a Datuk Seri, who is wanted for alleged commercial crimes and money laundering.
Johor police chief Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay in a statement today said police are still tracking down Datuk Seri Nicky Liow, 33, who is the founder of Winner Dynasty Group.
“We strongly advise the public to refrain from disseminating or spreading any news without confirming its authenticity.”
The news of Liow’s arrest has been making rounds on social media since yesterday.
Three days ago, Ayob Khan had said that police are looking for the suspect, who is wanted for investigations under Sections 130V to 130ZB of the Penal Code for organised crimes.
Liow’s last known address is at Trigon Residence Unit 1009 in Puchong, Selangor. – Bernama, March 24, 2021
