KOTA KINABALU – A total of 2,969 candidates will be involved in the rescheduling of Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2020 examinations, expected to begin nationwide on April 6, said Deputy Education Minister I Muslimin Yahaya.
He said the number is 0.74% of the total 401,105 candidates who sat the national papers.
He added that candidates involved in the rescheduling will be notified following the completion of the SPM examinations today.
“The Education Ministry has decided that only Covid-19 candidates, as well as quarantined and sick candidates with medical letters or reports, are allowed to sit the rescheduled exams.
“The questions are different, but are available from the Examination Board’s bank.”
SPM 2020 kicked off on February 22 at 3,310 examination centres, with 48,014 staffers appointed nationwide. It involves 83 subjects.
In Sabah, a total of 36,432 candidates sat the papers at 314 centres, involving a total of 5,305 staffers. – The Vibes, March 25, 2021
