KUALA LUMPUR – The Health Ministry has detected 12 Covid-19 community clusters involving 470 cases two weeks after the Hari Raya Aidilfitri holiday, said Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

He said the 12, which are Raya sub-clusters, were detected in seven states up till yesterday, and that 2,541 people were screened in the said clusters.

One case, involving the Jalan Tahir Manan cluster in Selangor, has been confirmed dead, he said, while another two patients in the Simpang Sahari cluster in Labuan are in intensive care.

“This number is expected to increase and involve even more states,” he tweeted today.

Dr Noor Hisham shared two graphs showing a breakdown of the Raya clusters.

Sabah has recorded four such clusters, followed by Kelantan and Labuan (2 each), and Pahang, Penang, Sarawak and Selangor (1 each).
