MIRI – Despite talk of revolving political support in the peninsula, Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) is expected to remain with the Perikatan Nasional federal government and Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
Santubong MP Datuk Seri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar in a statement said the ruling state coalition is not going to support any no-confidence vote against Muhyiddin if it is brought up in the Dewan Rakyat.
The Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) veteran said GPS chairman Datuk Abang Johari Openg is unlikely to change the pact’s stand.
“GPS has placed our trust in PN and PM Muhyiddin all along. Our stand is to support the PN administration and Muhyiddin, to preserve the interests of Sarawak. This looks to continue.”
GPS comprises PBB, Sarawak United Peoples’ Party, Parti Rakyat Sarawak and Progressive Democratic Party.
