KUALA LUMPUR – The Fire and Rescue Department is still putting out a fire near the Pulau Carey jetty in Teluk Panglima Garang after a tyre pile measuring 200 x 200 sq ft caught fire yesterday.

The department currently has two teams on site with four excavators as well.

“As of 8.30am today, the fire is under control and the teams have about 15% left to put out,” it said in a statement.

It added that the cause of the blaze is still under investigation and there were no victims reported.

The massive fire, which was blazing since yesterday, was reported by an emergency call at 4.06pm. – Selangor Fire and Rescue Department pics, June 27, 2021
