MP under probe over lockdown-breaching durian tuck-in

BATU PAHAT – Police are investigating a viral video of an MP who allegedly violated movement controls under Phase 1 of the National Recovery Plan.

Batu Pahat district police chief Ismail Dolah in a statement today said an investigation paper has been opened following a report lodged.

He said police will call up the politician and other people involved to facilitate the probe under Regulation 18(1) of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Regulations 2021.

“We urge the public not to speculate, as this could interfere in the investigation.”
