KOTA KINABALU – Sabah’s daily Covid-19 cases shot up to 322 today, an increase of 92 from yesterday’s 230 infections.

Sabah Covid-19 spokesman Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun in a Twitter post said that the increase is due to new cases detected in Tawau prison (97) and Kapayan prison (26) here and involve detainees and prisoners.

“That is 38.2% of today’s total. Tawau tops the chart with 112 cases, followed by Kota Kinabalu (72), Kudat (34), Beaufort (34), Sandakan (19), Pitas (12) and Kota Belud (11).

“Overall, 74% of the new cases are from clusters and close contacts.” – The Vibes, July 3, 2021
