TAPAH – The Parliament sitting slated to begin at month-end should not be used to debate political matters or issues related to the country’s leadership transition, said Bersatu deputy president Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu.
The Tambun MP said lawmakers must make full use of the session to discuss efforts to contain Covid-19 and revive the economy.
“I hope MPs won’t prioritise political matters, and instead focus on efforts to save the people,” he told reporters after a vaccination outreach programme at the Kg Sg Lah hall near Chenderiang here today.
Faizal, who is also former Perak menteri besar, said he believes all government MPs will continue standing behind Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin amid the nation’s battle with the pandemic.
