KUALA LUMPUR – The Selangor Health Department has denied that Selayang Hospital is raising funds to buy oxygen supply following a message that went viral on WhatsApp.
State health director Datuk Dr Sha’ari Ngadiman in a statement said hospital staff are not behind the donation drive, nor have they asked any party to raise money on the facility’s behalf.
“Selayang Hospital currently has enough oxygen tanks.”
Yesterday, the hospital said it does not have issues in terms of its oxygen tank supply, and called on the public to beware of posts seeking donations.
Facebook user Aisya Natasya Musa yesterday shared photos claiming 20 oxygen tanks have been delivered to the hospital.
She alleged that the tanks were sourced from various donors. – The Vibes, July 10, 2021
