KUALA LUMPUR – Six localities here will see the enhanced movement control order end tomorrow, five days earlier than scheduled on July 16.
The areas are Flat Section 1 and 2 in Wangsa Maju, Kg Puah, Flat Desa Pandan – including Baiduri and Delima – and Kg Batu Muda as well as Taman Koperasi Polis Fasa 1.
However, Taman Koperasi Polis Fasa 2 remains under the EMCO to facilitate Covid-19 screening.
According to a statement by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, authorities recorded three Covid-19 cases and screened 130 individuals at the flats in Wangsa Maju’s Section 1 and 2.
In Kg Puah, the Health Ministry tested 97 individuals and detected 25 infections, while Flat Desa Pandan saw 50 people screened with three registered Covid-19 cases.
Meanwhile in Kg Batu Muda, all 470 individuals screened were negative for Covid-19.
Taman Koperasi Polis (Fasa 1) saw 331 individuals screened with 11 testing positive.
Ismail Sabri said some localities and districts outside Kuala Lumpur will see their EMCO end tomorrow too.
They are:
– Bandar Jerantut, Pahang
– Kg Tuunon, Penampang, Sabah
– Kg Tawadakan, Kota Belud, Sabah,
– Kg Kota Bungan, Kota Belud, Sabah,
– Kg Perpaduan Ria 1, Kudat, Sabah
In addition, the National Security Council will begin implementing the EMCO in several areas in Sabah from July 12 to 25.
These areas include QL Farm, in Tawau, Kg Pikat Bongawan in Papa as well as Kg Suang Parai, Taman Kingfisher Sulaman and Bandaran Berjaya in Kota Kinabalu.
The EMCO in Kg Jawi-Jawi, Kota Belud, Sabah, which was expected to end July 11, will be extended to July 25. – The Vibes, July 10, 2021
