KUALA LUMPUR – More Covid-19 vaccination centres (PPVs) will be opened in Selangor and Pahang in an effort to increase inoculation rates.

In Selangor, the three PPVs are at Petaling Jaya City Council’s Dewan Sivik, Bukit Beruntung Golf and Country Resort, and Wyndham Acmar Klang hotel.

According to the city council, Dewan Sivik has the capacity to provide 3,000 jabs a day and has been in operation from 9am-9pm daily since July 9.

The golf and country resort will be providing 2,000 jabs a day, and the hotel, 5,000.

In Pahang, two more PPVs kicked off today – Dewan Jubli Perak Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah (1,600 jabs a day) and Sultan Ahmad Shah Medical Centre @IIUM (1,000), both in Kuantan.

Yesterday, the Health Ministry said Selangor has vaccinated 50,607 individuals (single dose) and 12,436 (second dose), while Pahang has immunised 5,304 people (single dose) and 797 (second dose). – The Vibes, July 12, 2021
