KUALA LUMPUR – The special officer to Deputy Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Siti Zailah Mohd Yusoff has died today following complications due to Covid-19.
In delivering her condolences to the family of Kumutha Raman, Zailah said her officer had been admitted to Putrajaya Hospital on June 30 after testing positive for the virus.
“She was in intensive care but breathed her last at noon today,” she said in a Facebook post.
Zailah described Kumutha as a kind-hearted person who was committed to her job and always helped people in need.
“She often managed and resolved complaints made by the community at large, despite difficulties faced at our office.
“Even during her last moments, she kept handling community complaints. Her passing is a big loss to the minister, and we hope that her family will remain strong during this trying time,” the Rantau Panjang MP added.
Meanwhile, PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang also posted his condolences following the death of the 42-year-old, who was also Women’s chief of the PAS Supporters Assembly (DHPP).
“My sincere condolences to the family of Kumutha and DHPP following her passing, which is deeply felt by all PAS members.
“Her contributions in connecting PAS among non-Muslims is deeply appreciated and highly praised,” he said in a Facebook post. – The Vibes, July 13, 2021
