JOHOR BARU – A man stabbed his neighbour for being too loud in Taman Permas Jaya near here yesterday.
Johor Baru Selatan district police chief Mohd Padzli Mohd Zain said officers received a call at 1.15pm, alerting them to a fight between two men.
In a statement today, he said the suspect, in his 40s, is believed to have attacked his neighbour, in his 50s, resulting in the victim being wounded in the stomach.
“The incident happened at the back of the victim’s house. The suspect is said to have been upset that the victim was being very noisy while cooking with his housemates.
“Police detained the man at the scene about 2.45pm the same day.”
The suspect has been remanded for four days from today, while the victim is in stable condition in hospital.
The case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt using a dangerous weapon. – Bernama, July 20, 2021
