SEREMBAN – The D'Tempat Country Club industrial vaccination centre (PPVIN) has temporarily ceased operations from today to allow restructuring to boost its vaccination capacity to up to 3,000 doses per day, according to a Negri Sembilan exco.

State Investment, Industry, Entrepreneurship, Education and Human Capital Committee chairman Datuk Mohamad Rafie Ab Malek said the International Trade and Industry Ministry will work out additional doses for the industrial sector in Negri Sembilan under the restructuring.

“Before this, its vaccination rate was 1,500 doses per day. The PPVIN is expected to resume operations next week, subject to the Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force’s decision on the amount of additional vaccines,” he said in a statement today.

A total of 19,670 workers in the industrial sector have received their first vaccine dose at the D’Tempat Country Club PPVIN between July 5 and yesterday.

They are part of the 34,829 workers from 130 companies registered for inoculation under the Public-Private Partnership Industrial Covid-19 Vaccination Programme (Pikas).

“A second PPVIN is expected to open at D’Cattleya in Senawang on August 2 as part of efforts to speed up the vaccination process for industrial sector workers in the state,” he said. – Bernama, July 20, 2021
