KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia has again breached the 17,000 mark with today’s new Covid-19 cases at 17,405 infections.
This brings the cumulative caseload to 1,061,476 cases.
Of this, Klang Valley has a total of 10,051 cases – Selangor with 7,171 and Kuala Lumpur with 2,880. More worryingly, Kedah has a daily caseload of 1,112.
Sabah is in third place at 913 cases, followed by Negri Sembilan at 863 and Johor at 767.
Penang reported 760 cases, while Kelantan reported 532, Melaka 531, Terengganu 490, and Sarawak 464.
Pahang had 429 cases, Perak 406, Putrajaya 68, Labuan 16, and Perlis three.
The nation recorded 12,373 recoveries today, bringing the total up to 877,812.
For the death toll, 143 new deaths were reported today, making the total figure 8,551. Of these new fatalities, 14 of them were Brought-In-Dead (BID) cases.
