KUALA LUMPUR – The enhanced movement control order (EMCO) will be imposed on nine localities in Pahang, Terengganu and Sabah from August 5 to 18, said Senior Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.

Hishammuddin in a statement today said four localities in Sabah are affected, namely Kg Banjar in Keningau; Sibulu Camp 3 in Tenom; Penampang Baru in Penampang; and, the immigration detention depot in Tawau.

“The three localities in Terengganu are Taman Rakyat Bestari Phase 1 to 4 and Rumah Awam Kos Rendah 1 and 2 in Bukit Kuang, Kemaman, and Manir subdistrict in Kuala Terengganu.

“The two localities in Pahang are Felda Tersang 1, 2 and 3 in Batu Talam subdistrict and Felda Krau 1 in Gali subdistrict. Both are in Raub.”

Hishammuddin said the EMCO at Kg Bintawa Hilir in Kuching, Sarawak, will be extended from tomorrow to August 17 following a report on risk assessment and Covid-19 infection trends by the Health Ministry.

Meanwhile, a similar order at Kg Sg Tapang in Kuching, Sarawak, and 12 localities in Sabah will end tomorrow.

In addition, 60 premises were ordered shut with immediate effect and 215 individuals were issued compounds for violating standard operating procedures yesterday. – Bernama, August 3, 2021
