KUALA LUMPUR – Eleven localities in Sabah and one in Pahang will be placed under the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) from Thursday until August 25, said Senior Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein today.

In a statement, he said the affected Sabah areas include three localities in Kota Kinabalu, namely the Kilang J&L quarters in Jalan Kokol, Kg Gudon in Manggatal, and Kg Lobou.

The other localities are Kg Menunggui in Kota Belud; Kg Tengah in Kinarut, Papar; Kg Petagas in Putatan; Kg  Pogunon in Penampang; Kg Timbua-Kembiroi-Lobou Baru in Ranau; Kg Batu 1 Sipitang; Kg Bukit Kukusan in Tawau; and, Kg Batu-Batu in Tenom.

In Pahang, the affected locality is Felda Jengka 25 in Temerloh.

Hishammuddin said the EMCO in six localities in Kota Kinabalu, scheduled to end tomorrow, will be extended until August 25.

They are Bandar Sierra, Kg Kalasanan, Kg Pulau Penampang, Bandaran Segama, Taman Bukit Setia and Taman Putera Jaya.

The EMCO at Felda Jengka 7 in Maran, Pahang, and Ladang Kerilla in Tanah Merah, Kelantan, scheduled to end tomorrow, will also be extended.

Meanwhile, the same order imposed on two localities in Johor, namely Kg Pertanian and Kg Separa in Senai, Kulai, and the Taman Bukit Perdana construction site workers’ quarters in Kluang, as well as 21 localities in Sabah, will be lifted as scheduled tomorrow.

In Sabah, five of the localities are in the state capital, namely Kg  Unggun; Lorong Cina 1, 2 and 3; Kg Tebobon; Plaza Kingfisher; and, the Polytechnic Commercial Centre, while the four in Beaufort are Kg Lumadan, Kg Kebulu Petani, Kg Beaufort Selatan and Taman Arjuna.

Eight localities are in Penampang, namely Country Height Phases 1, 2 and 3, including shophouses; Cyber City Phase 1; Kg Nabangkung; Kg Ramayah; Taman Vista Kiranau; Kg Sarapung Kolopis; Vista Minitod; and, Kg Tuunon.

The other localities involved are three in Tawau – Kg Blok 31, Kg Tg Batu Darat and Kg Darat Inderasabah – and one in Kinabatangan, namely Perumahan Ladang Tinabau.

Hishammuddin said 60 manufacturing and business premises were ordered shut yesterday, and 180 individuals issued compound notices and 21 remanded, for violating Covid-19 standard operating procedures.
