Roti jala treat lands Kedah exco under police investigation

ALOR STAR – Police have opened an investigation paper on a Kedah exco for allegedly violating Covid-19 standard operating procedures recently.

Kota Setar district police chief Ahmad Shukri Mat Akhir in a statement today said a report has been lodged over the incident, which also involves several other individuals, after a photograph of the group went viral yesterday.

The case is being investigated under Section 11 of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988.

Shukri urged those with information on the matter to contact the case’s investigating officer at 017-4218-685.

The photo shows several individuals, including a man with a likeness to an assemblyman, tucking into roti jala and teh tarik at the same table. – Bernama, August 11, 2021
