Perak quarantine escapee’s location identified, arrest to be made soon

IPOH – Police have tracked down an individual who fled the Covid-19 low-risk quarantine and treatment centre at the Taiping Rakan Muda Complex in Kamunting.

Perak top cop Datuk Mior Faridalathrash Wahid told reporters here today that officers are aware of the man’s location and will arrest him soon.

Yesterday, Taiping district police chief Osman Mamat said two of three coronavirus patients who escaped the centre have been found.

The trio, aged between 20 and 35, are supposed to undergo quarantine at the facility for 10 days. – Bernama, August 20, 2021
