PUTRAJAYA – Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob today officially starts work as prime minister at Perdana Putra here.

Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali and Senior Deputy Secretary-General of the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Jamil Rakon were on hand to greet Ismail Sabri upon his arrival at 8.25am.

Also present were Public Service Director-General Tan Sri Mohd Khairul Adib Abd Rahman, Attorney-General Tan Sri Idrus Harun, Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani and defence forces chief Gen Tan Sri Affendi Buang.

Ismail Sabri clocked in at his new office on Level 5 of Perdana Putra.

Prime Minister’s Department integrity officer Muhd Redza Ahmad led a doa recital before Ismail Sabri signed the welcome book.

The 61-year-old Ismail Sabri took his oath of office as Malaysia’s ninth prime minister on Saturday. – Bernama, August 23, 2021
