KUCHING – Openg Onn Net, former Bernama editor and co-founder of Bernama Radio, died at Sarawak General Hospital here last night. He was 62.
According to his wife Sabariah Zaini, Openg breathed his last at 9.44pm following a months-long battle with cancer.
“He managed to see all of our children, and asked me to take good care of our children,” she told Bernama at Openg’s sister’s home in Kg Gita.
Openg is survived by his wife, 54, and seven children, aged between 14 and 30.
He will be laid to rest at the Semariang Muslim cemetery in Petra Jaya here.
