KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia saw a dip in new Covid-19 cases today to 18,762 infections from yesterday’s 20,897.
This takes the nation’s cumulative tally to 1,765,016.
The nation recorded 278 deaths today, taking the total tally to 16,941.
There have been 21,073 recoveries, making a total of 1,482,800.
1,007 cases are currently in intensive care units, with 464 on respiratory support.
Selangor continues to post the highest number of cases at 3,711, followed by Sabah (2,430) and Sarawak (2,414).
States that recorded less than 2,000 infections were Penang with 1,762 cases, followed by Johor (1,993), Kedah (1,585) and Kelantan (1,504).
Those reporting less than 1,000 cases were Perak with 899, followed by Pahang (715), Kuala Lumpur (573), Terengganu (506), Melaka (309), Negri Sembilan (291), Putrajaya (34), Perlis (33) and Labuan (three). – The Vibes, September 1, 2021
