KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia saw a slight rise in Covid-19 cases to 19,733 today, taking the cumulative total to 1,900,467 infections.
For the third day running, Sarawak topped the list of fresh infections with 3,100, followed by Selangor (2,989), Penang (2,474), Sabah (2,067), Johor (1,867), Kedah (1,564), Kelantan (1,471) and Perak (1,319).
The states and Federal Territories that saw less than 1,000 cases are Terengganu with 904, followed by Pahang (700), Kuala Lumpur (537), Negri Sembilan (256), Melaka (375), Perlis (74) Putrajaya (29) and Labuan (7).
Non-intensive care bed occupancy stands at 77%, while 84% of ICU beds are in use.
A total of 69.6% of the adult population are fully vaccinated, while 88.9% have received the first dose.
Among the entire population, 49.9% are fully vaccinated while 63.7% have received the first dose.
The Health Ministry reported 361 coronavirus deaths today, pushing up the toll to 19,163.
Of the 904 patients in intensive care, 430 require breathing aid.
