JOHOR BARU – About 150,000 Malaysians registered for Covid-19 vaccination in Johor have received the jab in Singapore, but their data has not been updated on MySejahtera, said Menteri Besar Datuk Hasni Mohammad.

He said the state government will identify the individuals concerned to update Johor’s vaccination data.

“We will identify those who have completed their vaccination, and the type of vaccine they received,” he told reporters after handing over a donation of medical equipment to the state Health Department at Permai Hospital here today.

On Johor’s low vaccination rate, he said among the contributing factors are problems faced by private general practitioners.

On the state’s preparations to enter Phase 2 of the National Recovery Plan, he said his administration is focusing on improving the quality of public health services to ensure coronavirus patients get proper treatment.

“The state government’s focus in moving to the next phase is to ensure adequate health facilities.

“We know Covid-19 cases continue to increase in Johor, and this is largely contributed by industry clusters, as the sector conducts biweekly tests. As such, we need to ensure that when moving into Phase 2, we have enough facilities, especially to treat Covid-19 patients in Categories 3, 4 and 5.”

Johor today logged 2,032 infections, making for a total of 157,532. – Bernama, September 9, 2021
