MELAKA – Eight teenagers are among 17 individuals arrested by police in simultaneous raids on two private parties at a condominium in Jalan Persisiran Bunga Raya here last night.
Melaka Criminal Investigation Department head Mohd Sukri Kaman in a statement today said those arrested are aged from 17 to 35, with two women among them.
He said the arrests were made about 11pm under Op Noda.
Police found the partygoers drinking liquor and dancing in two units, he said.
He said a 19-year-old tested positive for methamphetamine.
All 17 have been released on police bail after being issued compounds for violating the standard operating procedures under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures Within Infected Local Areas) Regulations 2021. – Bernama, September 11, 2021
