KUALA LUMPUR – The Pakatan Harapan (PH) presidential council has appointed a few new members to its leadership.
In an announcement today, the council revealed that among the new faces in its executive office are DAP Pasir Pinji assemblyman and youth leader Howard Lee Chuan How, who will lead the coalition’s youth wing.
His predecessor, Amanah’s Shazni Munir Mohd Ithnin, had passed away recently due to Covid-19 complications.
Meanwhile, Amanah senator Aiman Athirah will be replacing DAP’s Chong Eng to lead the PH women’s wing while her party colleague Anthony Loke will be the opposition group’s chief whip, replacing PKR’s Datuk Johari Abdul.
PKR communications chief Fahmi Fadzil is now also PH’s communications head.
Amanah deputy president Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub has been appointed strategic director, while Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail of PKR is still chief secretary.
“The presidential council would like to congratulate all who have been appointed. May these appointments strengthen our work in Parliament, in the field, and as we head towards the 15th general election,” said the joint statement.
The release was signed by PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng and Amanah president Mohamad Sabu. – The Vibes, September 12, 2021
