KOTA KINABALU – A senior citizen who was reported missing in the Penampang floods has been found alive.
According to the Fire and Rescue Department, the 61-year-old man with disabilities was rescued by residents who spotted him some 19km from where he was first pulled away by floodwaters.
He was recovered at 7.57pm last night in Kg Kudou.
The man was reported missing after being swept away by strong floodwaters in Sugud, Penampang, last night.
Another flood victim remains missing.
A downpour from 1pm until late evening yesterday had caused landslides and floods in many parts of Penampang, Kota Kinabalu and Putatan, and left three dead. – The Vibes, September 16, 2021
