KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia’s daily Covid-19 caseload is seeing an uptick with another 14,554 infections, compared with yesterday’s 13,754.
This brings the cumulative caseload to 2,171,232.
Topping the states’ list is Sarawak with 2,825 cases, followed by Selangor (2,244), Johor (1,807), Sabah (1,273), Penang (1,231) and Perak (1,144).
States with three-digit daily cases are Kelantan (910), Kedah (908), Terengganu (690), Pahang (598), Melaka (401), Kuala Lumpur (271) and Negri Sembilan (157).
Perlis has 65 cases, Putrajaya has 30, and Labuan has none.
Another 20 clusters were detected, making for a cumulative total of 5,389, of which 1,250 are still active.
There are 1,049 patients in intensive care, a mix of positive Covid-19 cases, and those who are suspected or probable cases, as well as cases under investigation.
Nine of the fresh infections today were imported, involving five Malaysians and four non-citizens.
Of the total new cases, 13,262, or 91.2%, involved Malaysians, and the rest, other nationalities. – The Vibes, September 24, 2021
