KUALA LUMPUR – Covid-19 cases are continuing their downward trend, with 8,075 infections logged today from 9,066 yesterday.

Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said this takes the cumulative number to 2,285,640.

Sarawak recorded the most cases today with 1,189, followed by Kelantan (1,020), Penang (853), Johor (781), Selangor (686), Sabah (677), Terengganu (636), Kedah (628), Perak (548) and Pahang (522).

Melaka logged 219 cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (151), Negri Sembilan (108), Perlis (36), Putrajaya (19) and Labuan (2).

Dr Noor Hisham said the intensive care bed occupancy rate stands at 56%, while non-ICU bed occupancy is at 54%. – The Vibes, October 4, 2021
