Fire breaks out at Pantai Hospital in Port Klang

SHAH ALAM – A fire broke out in two empty wards of Pantai Hospital in Persiaran Raja Muda Musa, Port Klang, near here last night.

No injuries were reported.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Norazam Khamis said a distress call was received at 11.38pm, and personnel from the Port Klang station arrived at the scene four minutes later.

The team extinguished the flames in 30 minutes, he said.

A total of 50 people – 28 patients in nearby wards, 20 staff and two patient guardians – were moved to a safer area.

Norazam said the cause of the fire is under investigation. – Bernama, October 11, 2021
