MIRI – Anyone heading to Sarawak must still have a negative Covid-19 swab test three days before their arrival, even with the ban on interstate travel lifted, as the virus situation in the state remains serious.
The Sarawak government will not do away with this requirement, said the state Disaster Management Committee in a statement today, as the state recorded another 23 Covid-19 deaths.
“Even though interstate travel is now allowed, anyone wanting to enter Sarawak must have a negative swab result at a clinic.
“They must have this three days before their travel, and apply online to enter Sarawak.
“The state has seen a lot of imported cases, and our Categories 3 to 5 cases are still worrying.”
The new deaths reported today involved victims aged between 27 and 91.
