KUALA LUMPUR – Individuals who have lost their income are set to receive RM500 in a one-off assistance, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, today.
In a statement, Ismail Sabri said the income loss assistance (BKP) will be distributed from tomorrow onwards.
The one-off government aid, Ismail Sabri said, is expected to assist 870,000 individuals who have lost their source of income last year.
“This assistance is expected to cost RM434 million in an effort to ensure the wellbeing of Keluarga Malaysia.”
The government will determine eligible recipients who have lost their income based on last year’s data provided by EPF or Perkeso.
Potential recipients can determine if they are eligible starting tomorrow by going to the BKP website.
“We hope this assistance and other financial assistance provided by the government will ease the financial burden of Keluarga Malaysia during these difficult times,” Ismail Sabri said. – The Vibes, October 25, 2021
