GEORGE TOWN – A total of 13 motorcycles were destroyed in a fire at Block 3, Flat Desa Mawar, Lintang Kg Melayu, in Farlim at 4am today.
A seven-member team was deployed from the Paya Terubong station and the blaze was put out in 30 minutes.
Fire officer Sharel Anuar Mawarday said the station received a distress call at about 4.12am and the team was rushed to the scene.
He added that the fire broke out at the motorcycle parking lot near the flats and 13 motorcycles parked were destroyed.
The fire was put out at about 4.46am and no one was injured.
The forensic team is conducting an investigation to establish the cause of the fire and loss estimate. – The Vibes, November 9, 2021
