KUALA LUMPUR – Police raided an entertainment centre, late yesterday, issuing compound fines totalling RM220,000 to 44 patrons following a special Covid-19 compliance operation by the Kuala Lumpur police from the Crime Prevention and Community Safety division, last night.

In a statement today, division chief Datuk Azman Ayob said the raid, involving 18 of its personnel, also issued a RM25,000 compound to the owner of the premises.

“The compounds were issued in accordance with the violation of Rule 17 of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Regulations (conducting forbidden activities within pubs and nightclubs) during Phase 4 of the National Recovery Plan.

“Similar operations will be increased from time to time to stop the spread of Covid-19 in our country,” he added. – The Vibes, December 10, 2021
