SHAH ALAM – Another four bodies have been found in flood-hit Taman Sri Muda here but police have yet to identify the two men and two women.
District police chief Baharudin Mat Taib said in a statement that as at 7pm, this brings the death toll to 12 – seven men and five women.
“The bodies have been sent for post-mortem.”
Earlier, Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said a total of 17 bodies were recovered after the floods in Selangor, with 10 from Klang alone.
Speaking at a press conference today, he revealed that four other victims were found in Sepang and three in Hulu Langat.
“At the moment, we have identified 17 people who have lost their lives. Currently, we are still trying to find their causes of death.
“The victims may not have died due to the floods or drowning; it could be due to lack of medicine. This will be determined soon.
“The state government offers our condolences to the victims and families who have lost loved ones,” said Amirudin. – The Vibes, December 21, 2021
