KUALA LUMPUR – Another two bodies have been recovered in the flood aftermath at Taman Sri Muda, bringing the death toll in Shah Alam to 14 so far.

It is believed the two bodies found were father and daughter – and recovered at a house in Jalan Semangat 25.

This was verified by Shah Alam OCPD Baharudin Mat Taib. He said that the two bodies have been sent to Shah Alam Hospital for post-mortem.

Currently, eight men and six women are confirmed dead from the floods in Shah Alam.

Last night, four bodies were found in Taman Sri Muda, but police have yet to identify the two men and two women.

Earlier today, authorities discovered the corpse of a child at Bentong, Pahang – another area devastated by the floods.

Bentong Fire and Rescue Department chief Mohd Zamri Abdul Ghani said the body of the 6-year-old boy was found around 10.30am.

It is understood that he was found floating near logs in a jungle in the vicinity of the Karak Highway.

On Saturday, more than 30 people including children faced an emergency situation when they were trapped during the floods, while visiting a tourist area in Bentong.

A child known as Emmanuel Chang, as well as husband and wife Bobby Lim Yoke Hoong and Yap Koon Lau, were reported missing in the tragedy. – The Vibes, December 22, 2021
