KUALA LUMPUR – Death toll from the December 18 flood disaster has risen to 50, with 25 victims from Selangor, and two still missing.
Bukit Aman Criminal Investigations Department director Datuk Seri Abd Jalil Hassan said of the 25 victims in Selangor, 17 were men and 8 women.
“The death toll in Pahang rose to 21 involving 15 adult men, four adult women and two boys.
“Kelantan recorded four victims, comprising three adult boys and a girl,” he told Berita Harian today.
He added that search and rescue efforts are ongoing.
The disaster has also caused millions of ringgit in damages across Peninsular Malaysia. – The Vibes, January 1, 2022
