KOTA KINABALU – The launch of AirAsia’s Kuala Terengganu-Kota Kinabalu flight is expected to be able to intensify domestic tourism and ties between the two states.
Sabah Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Jafry Ariffin expressed his appreciation to AirAsia for choosing the state as part of its new destination and believes the continuous cooperation will assist Sabah in reviving the tourism industry.
“This new destination will help Sabah be more accessible to tourists, not just to those from the peninsula, but also to international visitors later,” he said in a statement today.
The maiden Kuala Terengganu-Kota Kinabalu flight was scheduled for yesterday.
The new destination is scheduled every Sunday with a promotional one-way airfare set as low as RM128 from February 13 to September 30 this year. – The Vibes, January 31, 2022
